Debunked Sources: Chip Kelly to be announced to Florida tomorrow or Thursday

I'm not too sure how credible this source is.

All I know is I want to get off Scott Stricklin's wild ride. I refresh this subreddit like 80 times a day in hopes we will finally get a confirmation.

UPDATE: Source: Gator Reps are headed too talk with Chip Kelly. Things are picking up on the @SEC coaching searches.

Debunked [Dienhart] This is the text Jeff Brohm sent to Purdue players: “Hello guys, I wanted to reach out and inform everyone that I have decided to except the Univ of Louisville head football coaching job. While I love Purdue dearly, the time is right for me to go back home.”

He also had a meeting with the team at 1pm today. Source

EDIT: Confirmed now by Tom Dienhart that this text was sent to Purdue commitments and not the Purdue team. He met with the Purdue team at 1pm to let them know.

Debunked SHOULD UGA CLAIM THE 2023 NATIONAL CHAMPIONSHIP?

I will admit I am clearly biased but I do believe there is a legitimate argument to be made here.

Georgia was the back to back reigning CFP champions.

Everyone knows Michigan got busted for stealing signs that year. Unless everyone agrees that cheating should be allowed in the game Michigan should not have been allowed to play in the post season. So the number 1 seed should have been Washington or FSU. Bama beat Georgia head to head so there is no argument for putting them over Bama IF it was a 2 way tie. However it was a 3 way tie between 12-1 Texas Georgia and Bama. texas beat Bama head to head but never played GEORGIA> So you cant really use the head to heads as a legitimate tie breaker. Out of the 3 teams texas had the easiest SOS AND the worst loss (oklahoma state). Also just going off eye test it is clear they were the weakest team out of the 3. Its worthing noting that the following year UGA beat texas TWICE in the same season... And guess who we play in 2 weeks.

Georgia finished the season 12-1 after a 3 point loss to Alabama [(partially thanks to an incomplete pass that got ruled as complete and led to an Alabama touchdown before halftime)](https://x.com/247Sports/status/1731080928980582570?ref_src=twsrc%5Etfw%7Ctwcamp%5Etweetembed%7Ctwterm%5E1731080928980582570%7Ctwgr%5E2d5c1252d4fa6eafde2a38bb24cab7c9a04cfd56%7Ctwcon%5Es1_c10&ref_url=https%3A%2F%2Fugawire.usatoday.com%2Flists%2Freaction-officials-dont-review-questionable-alabama-fourth-down-catch%2F).

Despite their impressive resume Georgia dropped 5 spots from number 1 to number 6 in the cfp rankings following their loss. While texas and Bama both leaped a undefeated team that won that their conference championship.

Despite all of this I would not be arguing for Georgia to stake a claim to the natty because 1 of bama OR texas SHOULD have been in the top 4 (Bama.). HOWEVER Michigan being allowed in mucked it all up because that extra spot should have gone to UGA or BAMA/texas

Texas lost to a legitimate team in Washington so they fairly got eliminted and have zero claim.

Bama lost to Michigan (cheaters) and have a solid argument as well.

Washington has just as much of a claim.

UGA beat a legitimate playoff team in FSU 63-3 in their bowl game. That further solidified their claim.

FSU lost their claim by rolling over against UGA in the bowl game. If they beat us they would have had just as much of a claim as washington.

So in the end BAMA Washington AND Georgia all have valid claims to the 2023 national title.

I feel like this hasn't gotten enough attention because the scandal was pretty much swept under the rug until this year. After reading this [article](https://www.si.com/college/georgia/football/weather-report-georgia-bulldogs-week-two-matchup-against-the-austin-peay-governors-01k48z5weqk8) I decided to make this post to give it some exposure.

Am I being a salty homer because my team got robbed of a 3 peat or do any of yall agree with me?

Debunked [Ward] Can confirm through multiple sources that Quinn Ewers had NIL provisions requiring him to start a certain number of games next season, and he asked for a guarantee that would happen. Obviously that was a nonstarter with the reigning Big Ten Offensive Player of the Year returning.

Debunked Oklahoma Safety Pat Fields retiring from football, pursuing additional masters degree at Stanford on full academic scholarship.

https://twitter.com/patrickfields24/status/1476749160833589249?s=21

Great representative for the state of Oklahoma and the University of Oklahoma. Already holds an undergrad and master degree from OU in accounting.

Named defensive player of the game in the Alamo bowl last night.

CLARIFICATION: Apparently, Patrick Fields has confirmed he’s not retiring and will in fact be playing for Stanford next season: https://twitter.com/stanfordrivals/status/1476781741310242818?s=21

The title stating his retirement was based on a tweet, the tweet has now been deleted, from a trusted Oklahoma beat writer saying he was retiring and me trusting it based on Fields himself saying it would be on a full academic scholarships, rather than athletic.

Debunked RUMOR: Ohio State QB CJ Stroud has stomach flu, questionable Saturday vs Michigan; OT Ronnie Hickman out.

Unconfirmed rumors on OSU message boards and elevenwarriors are saying Hickman and Stroud have contracted a stomach virus. Hickman is said to be out, while Stroud may try to play through.

This appears to be false, as Stroud got on the bus for Ann Arbor earlier today. No, I wasn’t wishing for him to be out, as all of you know how Michigan is against backup QBs (it’s not pretty). I just hastily posted on the off chance that it was true.

I’m a baaaaaad boy
